Halesowen travel too the East coast to play inform Lowestoft Town, as the Yeltz look for three successive league wins for the first time this season

The Yeltz make the eight hour round trip to Crown Meddow this Tuesday night against an inform Lowestoft side, who are currently four unbeaten in the league.

The most recent two meetings between the two teams, saw a 1-0 Yeltz win at The Grove back in 2018, with the most recent being a battering that saw Halesowen come away from Crown Meddow with a 5-1 defeat in March 2019.

Recently promoted, Lowestoft had a torrid start to the campaign, that saw them claim just six points out of a possible 18, in their first six games of the season, conceding a total of 13 goals.

Since then the Trawler Boys have embarked on a much needed burst of form, which has seen them obtain 13 points in their last seven matches, having not failed to score in a game since the opening day.

Lowestoft boss Andy Reynolds is the most recently appointed head coach in the league, after being given the hot seat last month following the departure of Jamie Goldbold who left to become a development coach at Ipswich Town.

Reynold's managed a total of 406 appearances for the Trawler Boys, over the 15 years he played for them, and in the one game he's taken charge, he boasts a 100% record following the sides 1-0 home win against Harborough Town just over a week ago.

It was their first clean sheet since August, with top scorer Harvey Sayer scoring the only goal of the game, his seventh in what is turning out to a be a remarkable season already for the 21 year old.

Russ Penn's side on the other hand, go into the game four points above their opponents, having secured four wins in a row in all competitions, and have been defeated just once on the road since March, after losing three in the space of a month prior to that.

Kieren Donnelly, the highlight of the Yeltz season, like Harvey Sayer has also notched a total of seven league goals, which is just two less than what he managed in the whole of last season.

Its a game that is expected to be full of goals, with the home side being involved in 3.72 goals per 90 this season, on top of the 16 that have come in the Yeltz's last five league clashes.

The Yeltz number 9 will be looking to reach the feat of scoring for a fifth successive league match on Tuesday night, against the third leakiest defense in the league, something no Yeltz player has done for over a DECADE.

"Lowestoft are a top side, an inform side and its a 5 hour trip for us on a Tuesday night which wont be easy by any means", stated the Yeltz boss about opponents after Saturday's match.

"We cant underestimate any side in this league, not just because i dont know them too well, but because they all have quality and on our day we have it in us too be a bit off it, but if do keep our standards, we are match for anyone."

There is just the one bit of bad news, that was revealed by Penn prior to the match about summer recruit Reece Flanagan.

"He will be unavailable again unfortunately, he requires an operation, we may get him for the end of the season but its just too early too call at the moment, which is a shame."
