The Yeltz fell to their heaviest home defeat of the season as they lost 3-0 to Royston Town with club boss Paul Smith expressing concerns over recent performances.

Stating "Everything is transpiring against us at the moment, We're not taking our chances, we are giving awful goals away. It was another bad day at the office and it's becoming far to common.

"I thought up until their goal, we were on top. We were moving the ball around quite well and I thought we were getting in good positions, without looking dangerous though and that's been out problem, if you look at the goals this season apart from Miracle, we have some good footballers here who haven't taken the chances that we needed to and that is where we have been punished.

The boys are devoid of any sort of confidence in there and you can feel and sense it and it is our job to try lift them back up again."

Despite a bright start from the Yeltz, Andronicos Georgiou scored before the half hour mark stabbing the ball home into the bottom left, his first goal since joining Royston in December.

The game turned darker for Halesowen after Thomas Taylor was forced towards his own goal taking down the Royston man. Andronicos Georgiou dispatching the penalty down the middle getting his second of the game shortly before the interval. Paul Smith then being forced into a first half sub as Caine Elliot came on for Reece Mitchell for an attacking change to try and change the course of the match.

Chances were limited for the side until five minutes after the half time break when Miracle Okafor and Kieren Donnelly went close forcing the Royston goalkeeper to make two comfortable saves.

The Crows added a third shortly after putting the game beyond doubt as the ball hit the post, Luke Redfern and Kian Harness chased after the ball with Redfern getting to the ball first only to hit it against Harness and see the ball hit the net, Harness's sixth goal of the season.

After the third goal chances became limited as the away side looked to secure a seventh clean sheet of the season.

Andronicos Georgiou going close to a hattrick with the ball going just wide of the post shortly before Halesowen's Donnelly and Rhys Hilton forced an incredible double save from the goalkeeper just before the full time whistle.

The result sparking yet more worries over the clubs issues in front of goal and the prospects for the remainder of the season after a poor run of form since the turn of the year.
