Charles Leclerc showed his frustration at settling for second place at the Las Vegas GP after Max Verstappen grabbed first.
The Red Bull driver moaned at the struggle at the difficulty to control the tyres after a safety car was deployed during the race.
He also described of the struggle he had for the second half of the race after giving up first. Leclerc was in pole at the start of the race and continued into first until Verstappen overtook him on the 13th lap of the 50.
The Ferrari driver crossed the finish line two seconds after the man leading the world championships, Max Verstappen on the Las Vegas Street circuit track.
The race leaves Leclerc seventh in the drivers’ standings with 188 points.
“I didn’t leave anything on the table.
“I maximised everything – we got unlucky with the safety car, but it is the worst moment for the tyres because you start to warm them up, and then you cool them down, and it is very difficult to re-start the tyres and re-warm them.
“We struggled for the second half of the race, which is a shame.”
