Day Two of French Open sees more disappointment for Brits as Cam Norrie and Harriet Dart lose in first round

Cam Norrie, the British number one was defeated over five sets 4-6, 6-3, 3-6, 7⁷-6⁵, 6-2 by Russian Pavel Kotov, who before this had never made it past the first round at Roland Garros.

Norrie started well breaking twice in the first set prior to being broken himself, the second set was even both winning their first three service games until Kotov took advantage of the situation breaking late of to take the second set.
The start of the third set saw both players break serve followed by both holding serve twice. Cam was the next to break taking the third set to take him one away from victory.
Losing the fourth and fifth sets his time in the competition was ended after three successive years of making the third round, Kotov winning the fourth set on a tiebreak and winning the fifth with two breaks of serve.
Fellow Brit Harriet Dart lost her match in the narrowest of fashions, losing 7⁷-6³, 6-4 to Czech teenager Linda Nosková.
The Czech was the one who came out of the traps breaking Darts serve in the first game of the match, Nosková managed to hold serve until her fifth service game where the Brit broke serve to take the set to a tiebreak, losing 7-3.
The second set was the complete opposite of the first as Harriet Dart broke serve in the first game of the set this time and managed to hold serve until she collapsed in what would be the final three games of the match with her serve being broke twice to lose the match.
